Easy Frozen Cod in the Air Fryer (3 Ingredients!)
Frozen cod in the air fryer is my answer for the nights I forget to thaw anything. You season the fillets straight from frozen, then cook them in two stages so the outside doesn't overcook before the middle catches up. It takes about 20 minutes and three simple ingredients, cod, olive oil, and blackened seasoning. I serve it with lemon wedges and an easy air fryer veggie.

Rub the olive oil over the frozen cod, then coat the fillets with the blackened seasoning right away so it sticks to the icy surface.
Place the cod in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space around each piece.
Air fry at 350°F for 4 minutes.
Turn the heat up to 370°F and air fry for 8 to 10 minutes until the fish is opaque all the way through and flakes easily with a fork, at 145°F.
Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
Season the cod while it's still frozen so the seasoning grabs on. Cook it in two stages, a lower temp first to thaw it through and a higher temp to finish, so the outside doesn't overcook before the middle is done. Cod is safe at 145°F at the thickest part. Don't crowd the basket, and cook in batches if you need to so the air can circulate.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at a lower temp so the fish doesn't dry out.
